Fantasy

Along the rugged coast of Big Sur, the Pacific feels like an ancient artist, endlessly chipping away at the edge of the continent, but with the satisfaction of having created something immense and beautiful. Waves and wind have carved the cliffs into forms that seem almost imagined rather than created—a giant arch rising from the water and towering sea stacks standing like sculptures.
I was overwhelmed by the scale of the ocean and the improbable beauty of the composition. The ocean stretched beyond the horizon towards unknown worlds, while the massive rock formations stood rooted in the here and now.
As the sun began to set, the fading warm light transformed the landscape. The hard edges of the rocks softened. What seemed harsh and unapproachable became inviting. The ocean remained wild and untamed, the rocks remained ancient, but the light revealed a quiet beauty.
For a moment, the grandeur of the Pacific and the impossible forms of the sea stacks carried me outside of myself. The constant conversations and worries of everyday life faded away, replaced by the simple wonder of being present in this landscape.
I called this photograph Fantasy because places like this seem almost too extraordinary to be real. Yet they are.
What this image gives me is a reminder that such places still exist, and with that comes the knowledge that there are still moments waiting to take our breath away. And that gives me hope.

Fujiflex Crystal Archive Acrylic Fine Art Prints
All our acrylic prints come with either a gloss or luster finish. Gloss provides amazing color depth and luminosity while luster approaches this level of brilliance but with less reflection if there is a strong side-light close to the artwork. Acrylic is the most brilliant finish for landscape photography and it approaches a 3-D appearance. Acrylic prints are ideal in locations with low natural light and good directional light from above. The acrylic print characteristics of archival quality, image brilliance, and durability makes it an excellent choice.
Chromalux Metal Fine Art Prints
Metal is an excellent finish for landscapes and approaches the brilliance of acrylic prints but with the ability to clean it with glass cleaner and a paper towel without any adverse effects. Metal is also much lighter than acrylic and, therefore is much easier to hang. All our metal prints come with either a gloss or luster finish. Gloss provides amazing color depth and luminosity while luster approaches this level of brilliance but with less reflection if there is a strong side-light close to the artwork. Metal prints are ideal in locations with low natural light and good directional light from above. The metal print characteristics of archival quality, image brilliance, and durability makes it an excellent all-around choice.

Fuji Pearl Crystal Archive Fine Art Prints
